The National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) Space Division has announced the 2014 recipients of its highest recognition, the Honorable Peter B. Teets Award. The award recognizes public or private sector leadership or achievement that results in significant contributions to the development, introduction, operational contribution or support of space systems.  


The Space Foundation’s 31st Space Symposium will culminate on April 16 with ceremonies celebrating the induction into the Space Technology Hall of Fame® of two innovations developed for space that now improve life on Earth. The inductees are:

For the 31st Space Symposium, Destination Imagination will co-sponsor the Destination Imagination Station, located in the Ball Aerospace Exhibit Center Pavilion. The Destination Imagination Station offers fun, interactive Instant Challenges for 31st Space Symposium attendees to test their innovation, creativity, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) and 21st century skills.


The 31st Space Symposium provides many opportunities for networking, meeting new customers and conducting business. One such opportunity will be provided during Wednesday's afternoon refreshment break, sponsored by Braxton.

A valuable networking opportunity will be provided at the 31st Space Symposium during Wednesday's mid-morning coffee break, sponsored by Space Angels Network. The break will give attendees time to meet and mingle and even conduct business.


The annual sight of the Pavilion being erected at The Broadmoor is a sure sign that the Space Symposium is about to begin. The Ball Aerospace Exhibit Pavilion is one of two halls where exhibitors from around the world will be displaying the latest in space technology, products and services during the 31st Space Symposium, April 13-16, at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs.


Wanda Austin, Ph.D., Aerospace Corporation president and CEO, has been selected by President Barack Obama to serve on President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology. Austin also serves on the Space Foundation Board of Directors.
