COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.  (Feb. 9, 2015) - The Space Foundation has selected the U.S. Air Force-Boeing X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle (OTV) Team to receive one of its top honors, the 2015 Space Achievement Award. The award will be presented on April 13 during the opening ceremony of the 31st Space Symposium at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colo., USA, co-sponsored by Northrop Grumman.

Washington, D.C., (Feb. 2, 2015) - The Space Foundation today said it supports President Obama's FY2016 budget request for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). That request, released today, calls for a FY2016 top line budget of $18.5 billion for the nation's space agency -- a $519 million increase over what Congress approved for the current fiscal year. "The President's request is a move in the right direction," said Space Foundation Chief Executive Officer Elliot Pulham.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Feb. 2, 2015) – The Space Foundation’s annual Space Symposium is the single most important global space conference for connecting government, military and industry decision makers. The 31st Space Symposium will be held at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colo., April 13-16. The 2015 agenda includes two classified tracks -- Cyber 1.5 on Monday, and Wednesday’s Space Classified program. The Technical Track program introduced last year has been expanded for 2015, and Wednesday’s concurrent sessions have grown from four to eight.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Jan. 28, 2015) - The Space Foundation is offering an expanded version of its Technical Track program for the 31st Space Symposium, with 46 presentations on April 13 and 14. The 31st Space Symposium will be held April 13 - 16 at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colo., USA, and is expected to attract thousands of participants from the global space community.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Jan. 27, 2015) - During 2014, the remarkable success of the Rosetta Comet Mission, led by the European Space Agency (ESA), fascinated followers around the world. In recognition of this astonishing accomplishment, the Space Foundation will present the Rosetta Comet Exploration Team with the 2015 John L. "Jack" Swigert, Jr., Award for Space Exploration.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Jan. 22, 2015) - The Space Foundation has narrowed down 3,686 entries from 53 countries, 48 U.S. states and one U.S. territory down to 28 winners for the 2015 International Student Art Contest. Students from around the world, ages 3 through 18, were invited to submit original artwork for this year's theme, "The View From My Spaceship." The contest was free to enter for all public, private and homeschool children from nations around the globe.

COCOA BEACH, Fla. (Jan. 14, 2015) - The board of directors of the Space Foundation today elected former Florida Congressman Tom Feeney, president and CEO of Associated Industries of Florida, to a three-year term as a member of the board. Feeney joins the Space Foundation board as another Floridian, former Congressman David Weldon, M.D., retires after two terms of service.
