COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Feb. 12, 2014) - The Space Foundation has selected the U.S. Air Force GPS Team as the recipient of its 2014 Space Achievement Award. The award will be presented on May 19 during the opening ceremony of the Space Foundation's 30th Space Symposium at The Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, Colo., USA.


COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Jan. 30, 2014) - The Space Foundation has selected 24 outstanding educators for its 2014 flight of Teacher Liaisons, including four educators in India and one in Australia. This expands the international reach of this elite program, and brings the total number of international Teacher Liaisons to six.


COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Jan. 28, 2014) -  A. Thomas Young has been chosen to receive the Space Foundation's highest honor -- the General James E. Hill Lifetime Space Achievement Award, to be presented at a special luncheon co-sponsored by Lockheed Martin on May 21. The luncheon is a featured event of the Space Foundation's annual Space Symposium, held at The Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, Colo., USA.


COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.  (Jan. 23, 2014) - The 25 winners of the 2014 Space Foundation International Student Art Contest are the most globally diverse group in the contest’s history. Young artists were selected for the top slots from among more than 7,100 entries representing 54 countries, including 43 U.S. states, the District of Columbia and two U.S.


Washington, D.C. (Jan. 21, 2014) - The board of directors of the Space Foundation conducted its annual meeting today, electing the following officers and directors:


COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Dec. 11, 2013) -- The Space Foundation has been chosen to receive a $5,000 grant by the Pikes Peak Regional Council of El Pomar Foundation. In supporting the Pikes Peak Area regional interest behind this grant, the Space Foundation will offer scholarships to students and their teachers in the Pikes Peak Region, emphasizing Teller County, El Paso County outside metro-Colorado Springs, southern Douglas County and northern Pueblo.


COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Oct. 29, 2013) - For its 30th year the Space Foundation's global space conference unveils a new name to reflect its expanding international reach. With "National" dropped from its name, the 30th Space Symposium will be held May 19-22, 2014, at The Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, Colo., U.S.A.


COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.  (Oct. 10, 2013) - It seems fitting that on the final day of the global celebration of World Space Week, the world says goodbye to NASA astronaut M. Scott Carpenter, who died in Denver today at the age of 88.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Aug. 22, 2013) - Students from around the world, ages 3 to 18 years, are invited to enter the Space Foundation's fourth annual International Student Art Contest. Children may draw, paint or create a digital image of their own spaceship design for the contest theme "My Spaceship Looks Like..." The deadline to submit entries is Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, by noon Universal Time, (12:00 UTC), submitted online by the student's teacher. Homeschool students are also invited to participate.
