Bill Nye is a scientist, engineer, comedian, author, and inventor. Nye uses humor to foster a scientifically literate society. The Emmy Award-winning “Bill Nye the Science Guy®” television series is in wide syndication on PBS. Nye has received seven Emmy Awards for writing, performing, and producing the series. He is the author of several children’s books about science and hosted “The 100 Greatest Discoveries” on the Science Channel and “The Eyes of Nye” on PBS. Nye is also a professor for the Frank H. T. Rhodes Visiting Professorship, often teaching at Cornell University. Prior to comedy and television, Nye was an engineer at Boeing working on flight control systems where he designed a hydraulic pressure resonance suppressor that is still flying on Boeing 747s today. Nye earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Cornell University.

Perform your favorite space-themed song, read your favorite space-themed poem, share a three minute summary regarding an interesting space fact, try out some new jokes, or show us something completely unexpected. If you don’t have anything prepared, come along anyway to enjoy some of the space industry’s budding talent. Prizes and accolades will be determined by audience applause.
