Frank Morring, Jr., is senior editor/space for Aviation Week & Space Technology.  Morring has covered spaceflight regularly since 1974 and exclusively since 1991. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1972, and spent his early career working for newspapers in Alabama. He has been based in Washington since 1979. In addition to Aviation Week and its web publications, his work has appeared in Aviation Week’s Aerospace Daily newsletter, of which he was managing editor, as well as The New York Times and other daily newspapers and periodicals in the U.S. and abroad. He has Goddard and Von Braun media awards from the National Space Club, and shared in a Neal award for Aviation Week’s coverage of the Columbia accident.
