Jeffrey "Jeff" Carr is the President of Griffin Communications Group and is responsible for leading the agency’s day to day operations, including executive oversight of account services. He joined the firm in 2010 to lead the development of an international aerospace practice, overseeing the planning and execution of strategic communications programs and projects for clients such as Virgin Galactic, Blue Origin, Sierra Nevada Corporation, Orbital Sciences Corporation, Inspiration Mars Foundation, the Coalition for Space Exploration and other key industry accounts. Carr has more than 32 years of government and corporate communications and public relations experience, 22 of which were spent serving in key management roles, overseeing a wide spectrum of strategic communications resources and programs. Prior to joining Griffin, he spent 13 years at United Space Alliance as Director of Communications and Public Relations, where he served as a key spokesman and managed the company’s brand identity and reputation through strategic communications, including media relations, community relations, customer relations, state and local government relations, marketing communications and advertising. He held several positions during his NASA career, including Director of Public Affairs, News Chief at the NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, and Special Assistant to the NASA Administrator, providing critical transition support and lending insight to key issues and activities for NASA during the early months of the Clinton Administration. Carr also served as press liaison for the Astronaut Corps and as the “Voice of Mission Control” for more than 40 Space Shuttle missions. He holds three Telly Awards for national achievement in media production.
