Thomas A. ("Tommy") Gardner, Jr., is the Chief Technology Officer at Scitor and is responsible for focusing on data science and systems integration in government markets. Prior to his current position, he served as Chief Technology Officer at ManTech International and President of Gardner Engineering and Technical Service, a Service Disabled Veterans Owned Business. Gardner has extensive experience in government acquisition and science and technology. Previously, he was a Director for Raytheon’s Technical Services Company, Deputy for Science and Technology for the Chief of Naval Research, Major Program Manager for the Navy’s Deep Submergence Program, Deputy Program Manager for the Navy’s Advanced Technology Program, and Commanding Officer for the nuclear submarine, USS San Juan (SSN 751). Gardner holds a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the U. S. Naval Academy, a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Harvard University, a Master's of Science Degree in Management of Technology from M.I.T., and a Ph.D. in Energy Economics from George Washington University.
