Yuichi Yamaura is the Vice President for Strategy, International Relations and Industrial Collaboration at the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). Prior to his current position, he was the Associate Executive Director for Lunar and Planetary Exploration Program and the ISS Program at JAXA. Previously, Yamaura served as the Director of Strategic Planning and Management Department. He was also engaged primarily in human space flight programs such as Spacelab missions by the Space Shuttle and the International Space Station Program, and strategy/administration of JAXA. Yamaura started his career at the National Space Development Agency of Japan, in Japan’s early phase of Earth observation satellite data acquisition and processing. He holds a Master's of Engineering in Aeronautics and Astronautics from University of Tokyo.
